Journal Aims

The Motley View is a peer-reviewed, collaborative e-journal concerned with everything film, art and aesthetics. Its scope is neither restricted to a singular methodology, epoch or type of film or artwork. The aim of The Motley View is also not restricted to an elitist or academic viewpoint. That is, we aim to produce both high quality pieces of research as well as more introductory and journalistic pieces. Therefore we aim to create a vivid, mottled collection of views, methodologies and approaches to the study of film, art and aesthetics.
